Vintage Persian Tabriz Long Runner

A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. Woven in a Sarab-Hamadan style, this urban kenareh, or runner, displays rows of reversing botehs within a hexagonal lattice on a pale gray-beige to taupe field. The design is rendered primarily in ivory, light gray, beige, and muted brown, with faint accents of pale green, dusty pink, and light blue. The pale straw corner pieces contain geometric blossoms. The subdued Saraband-style main border features pendant sausage botehs, while the minor borders display reversing fan palmettes.
