Vintage Turkish Anatolian Runner

A wool pile of symmetric knots on a wool foundation. The pale wheat-beige to warm-ivory field is dominated by six diamond medallions in dusty rose, faded magenta, pale tan, soft brown, and traces of muted grey-green, some enclosing quartered inner diamonds and others containing nested stepped diamonds. Smaller, related half-diamonds extend inward from the sides. The main border combines divided rectangles, triangles, and quartered diamonds, while the inner stripe features reversing triangles arranged along a zigzag line. Periodically visible bands of sienna to medium-brown wefts introduce a pronounced additional form of abrash.
