Vintage Turkish Anatolian Wide Gallery Runner

A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. The strongly abrashed coral-red to dusty-salmon field is anchored by a pole medallion composed of three deeply stepped taupe-to-grey-brown diamonds with interior rosettes, each centered by an ecru-to-ivory square. The bone, warm-ivory, coral-red, and taupe borders feature either buds on trapezoidal tendrils or rosettes with slanted bare leaves. An unusual size and format for a Kars carpet.
