A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton and wool foundation. This interwar Anatolian room-size piece is executed in the prevailing Persian semi-pictorial style, with a grey field patterned by numerous birds among palmettes, accompanied by two trees and smaller shrubs rising from low hills below. A strip-style red border presents in-and-out petal palmettes in the Indo-Isfahan manner.
