Antique Persian Bidjar Rug

An antique Persian Bidjar rug. Although worn into shabby chic status, this authentic west Persian Kurdish miniature kellegi still has great character.  The long medium blue subfield is decorated by a multi-pendanted red hexagonal medallion with an expansive rosette and palmette inner motif, and is set on a mustard-gold field with boteh-flowers along the edges. The red turtle border is done in the Bidjar style.
