An antique Persian Lavar Kerman rug. This devilishly elaborate Lavar scatter comes from the 1910-20 period when Kerman pulled out all the design stops. There are too much to describe and too many colors to list, but the eight-point navy floriated medallion is a wonder and the corners are truly imaginative. The designer and weavers packed a whole room size carpet into this finely knotted small rug. The light tonality makes it versatile and contemporary. Not everything should be simple to be eye-grabbing.
