Antique Persian Sarouk Carpet

This is an absolutely classic 1930s Persian Sarouk Dozar format red “American” style rug with a detached floral spray pattern organized by a small central focal rosette. The border is a rich navy tone with a palmette and floral spray pattern. The handle is leathery and firm on an all-cotton foundation with a medium close weave.
