An antique Persian Tabriz carpet. Broad strapwork circles are linked by palmettes in an allover pattern on the light tan ground of this well woven NW Persian city Tabriz carpet. The pattern derives from Indo-Persian 17th century strapwork carpets. The rust-brown main border binds palmettes with thick, doubled vines.
