An antique Persian Tabriz carpet. The light taupe-grey field displays a “Vase carpet” pattern reflected around a central vertical axis. Rosette rondels, amphora palmettes, and the usual tilted oval palmettes closely occupy the field. Fleur-delays shaped amphora palmettes take prominent places in the darker taupe border of this urban urbane NW Persian carpet.
