An antique Persian Tabriz Hagi Jalili rug. A central vase is a base for a wild, explosive leaf and flower bouquet including roses and carnations. On the ivory niche-shaped ground, two long-necked ruminants and more composite stems add attractive details. The brown border is decorated with various palmettes and leaf clusters. The weave is close and the rug dates from the Hajji Jalili period in Tabriz, the 1890-1900 era.
