An antique Persian Yazd Silk Textile. Two tall cypresses are each topped by twin birds and there are smaller cypresses between, under lambrequin panel with tiny cypresses and linked arches. The cartouche border runs up each side only. The inscription at the bottom repeats the date of this characteristic SE Persian silk velvet hanging. The technique is a double ikat.
