A vintage Art Deco rug. This is a unique 1930’s, probably French.  earth toned carpet with a large interlaced openwork eight pointed central star medallion, attracting diagonal rays from two corners. Irregular, city skyline-style inside edges decorate the three innermost borders.  Needs Deco furniture, but the bold effect works surprisingly well with mid-century Modern and contempo furnishings as well.
