The rust red field of this nomadic NE Persian piece shows six columns, each of 13 quartered Tekke-style guls, with Kurbaghe cruciform minors, accented in ecru, near black and burnt salmon. Main border of rayed octagons in a rectangular panel layout. Narrow end elem panels with chains of flattened, fringed lozenges. Could also be Tekke tribal work. In the post – WWII period, Persian Yomud weavers adopted Tekke styles to increase salability. Medium tribal weave, wool foundation.
