We have these multipaneled, bitonally striped flatweaves in a variety of sizes and formats. Here the three panels show an asynchronous design of wandering bands in ecru and near black, with in a line in medium brown near the center. These light/dark rugs are the perfect use for dark brown wool, which the villagers cannot effectively dye. Who needs dyes when one has such graphics? Wool wefts. NW Persian origin.
