A vintage Persian Kashan carpet. Shah ‘Abbas style palmettes and their associated vine tendrils are featured on the ivory ground of this 1930’s Kashan carpet from central Persia. This well-woven city rug is a good example of Kashans not woven in the usual red/white/blue medallion pattern. The mushroom border displays a close version of the palmette and forked leaf pattern.
