Vintage Persian Malayer Runner

A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. The muted taupe-brown to camel field displays a variation of a popular Malayer allover pattern composed of ashiks, squares, color-sampler rectangles, and tilted rhomboids in pale turquoise-blue, salmon-rust, dusty rose, olive green, straw, ivory, and dark brown. The narrow light taupe to straw-brown main border features a trapezoidal meander and reversing fan palmettes.
