Vintage Persian Tabriz Carpet

Although in a quasi-Caucasian field style, this is in fact a city carpet as evidenced by the brick border with turtle palmettes alternating with rosettes. The light brown field shows full and half floating nested hexagons with ragged palmette pendants, supported by cross-hatched discs, escutcheons, geometric leaves, and a few tiny animals. Well-woven on cotton. Good condition.
