A vintage Turkish Sivas runner. Twelve niches of various shapes – waisted, pointed, arrowhead - totally occupy the field of this eastern Turkish town rug which was woven for the Istanbul tourist trade. A border of shrubs and erect flowers is acceptably exotic. The weave is fairly close and the dyes are solid.
