An antique Caucasian Kazak rug. The sapphire blue field displays a pole medallion of five nested, heavily latch hooked lozenges with matching hooked triangle side fillers. The weaver has inserted a camel, a human figure, dogs and birds. The ivory main border is decorated by hooked lozenges and the inner stripe is a mosaic of colorful geometric fragments.
