Antique Chinese Ningxia Accent Rug

A wool pile of asymmetric knots on a cotton foundation. A roughly round blue floral medallion rests on a field filled with a random pattern of small diamond tiles, each enclosing a rosette. The triangular corners are en suite with the medallion in both color and pattern. The sand-colored border displays peonies and squared, leafy short arabesques in the Ningxia manner.
