An antique Persian Bidjar rug. This village scatter from the Kurdish Bidjar district displays an informally filled sand lozenge medallion on an equally rustic patterned camel field. Several small fish appear in the medallion and diamond-shaped color samplers are featured in the field. The decoration is generally geometric. The oblique rhomboids in the main border are colored in ivory, burnt orange, turquoise, and various blues. The foundation is all wool and the rug is solidly constructed. This western Persian rug is totally authentic and genuine.
