Vintage Persian Kurd Rug

A vintage Persian Kurd rug. A bold old ivory border with a serrated geometric meander, stylized flowers and small fringed triangular ‘jewels’ frames the well-abrashed and striated brown to light graphite field with reversing offset rows of small, simple botehs. The inner red-brown border with lozenges and rosettes steps irregularly on one side, evidence that the weavers were adjusting the pattern on the fly. A few wear issues.
