Vintage Persian Malayer Pictorial Rug

A vintage Persian Malayer Pictorial rug. One very unusual rug. A stepped oval orange central cartouche medallion shows two half-length female figures with four small goldenrod corner squares displaying more female half lengths, and all are set on the abrashed dotted pattern graphite field, with birds and flasks at the field ends. The ecru border features a bold two level, semi-abstract pointed arabesque pattern.
