A vintage Persian Shiraz Square rug. The Khamseh Confederation tribes operate around Shiraz and their rugs are marketed there. The ivory field is decorated by three complete and two half pole medallions each composed of four stepped hexagons in rust, red-brown and pale grey blue. The content of the field reserves and the pattern medallions is identical: a four flower lozenge and surrounding lazy ‘S’ botehs. Beautiful Vintage rug.
