An antique Persian Bidjar Long carpet. The well-abrashed flannel to slate grey field is decorated by three columns of large turtle palmettes directly adapted from a popular border layout.  Ivory and chocolate highlight the pattern and a narrow, smaller scale red-brown turtle border surrounds the whole. This is an unusual and clever pattern adaptation. A very unique wide and long carpet. Perfect for big hallway.
