In a southwest Persian “mother and child” doubled boteh pattern in a three by four array on a near black ground. A few small birds toward one end. Cream main border with vase-like palmettes. Unusual mix of pattern and origin. Another successful borrowing by astute village weavers of another group’s charismatic design. No cultural appropriation here. Cotton warp. Good condition.
