Antique Persian Malayer Gallery Carpet

The dark indigo blue field host a well-drawn rendering of the traditional; Afshan allover pattern with quatrefoil rosettes, lazy and tilted rough palmettes, “gooseneck” split palmettes and vertical, stiff vinery binding the whole together. Tiny birds accent the pattern here and there. Red border of reversing turtles. Medium weave, cotton foundation. Probably a town Malayer carpet. Good condition.
