An antique Persian Tabriz carpet. The triangular field corners are defined by giant acanthus leaves, diminutive cloud bands hold down the field sides and a tulip-lyre pendant is suspended at each end of the gently scalloped lozenge medallion, all in tones of taupe, tan, rust and beige on a sandy-straw ground. This NW Persian urban carpet is well-woven and the details are carefully executed.
